Japan-Jordan Summit Telephone Talk
On December 18, commencing at 6:30 p.m. for approximately 10 minutes, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a Japan-Jordan Summit Telephone Talk with His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The overview is as follows.
1. At the beginning, H.M. King Abdullah II extended his congratulations on the victory in the recent general election, and Prime Minister Abe expressed his gratitude.
2. H.M. King Abdullah II expressed thanks for the warm welcome he received from the Government of Japan and Japanese citizens when he visited Japan last month, and Prime Minister Abe replied that last month’s summit meeting was productive and he would like to cooperate with H.M. King Abdullah II to further advance the bilateral relationship.
3. In addition, Prime Minister Abe said that the Government of Japan will continue to support Jordan, which performs a significant role in peace and stability in the Middle East, and H.M. King Abdullah II expressed gratitude for Japan’s support.
