On May 4th, commencing at 4:10 p.m. (local time, 4:10 a.m. on April 5th, Japan time) for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, during his visit to Brazil, delivered a policy speech titled “Paving a Pathway to ‘Human Dignity’ with Latin America and the Caribbean” at the University of Sao Paulo. Prime Minister Kishida delivered a speech on Japan’s foreign policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean for the first time in ten years as the Prime Minister of Japan. He announced that amid the deepening divisions and conflicts in the international community, cooperation between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean is more important than ever to lead the world toward cooperation, and he outlined concrete directions to achieve this goal.
