On March 4, 2016, 10 young officials of FEALAC member countries (Argentine, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Thailand, Uruguay and Viet Nam) who were invited to Japan through the ''FEALAC Young Leaders Invitation Program'' paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Kikawada, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. The summary of the visit is as follows.

1 Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kikawada welcomed the young officials of FEALAC member countries and expressed his wish that the participants of the program learn ''disaster risk reduction'' and ''sustainable growth'', issues which are of common concern amongst FEALAC member countries, in the program and utilize in their respective countries what they have learned and experienced through visiting to disaster-affected community, etc. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kikawada expressed his hope that FEALAC's networking would be further promoted through the program and their visit would be fruitful.

2 In return, the representative of the program's participants expressed their gratitude to the Government of Japan for the invitation and expressed their wish to learn the best practices of Japan and its advanced technologies and utilize the knowledge acquired through this visit for disaster risk reduction and sustainable growth in their respective countries after the program.
