  1. On 6th and 7th August, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will co-host a moot court competition “Asia Cup 2019” with Japanese Society of International Law. Students from 15 countries (Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) will participate in this competition and argue against each other on “Maritime Operation against immigrants and Criminal Proceedings against Minister of Defense”.
  2. The Final Round of “Asia Cup 2019” is open to the public and anyone can visit (without any admission fee or registration in advance).

International Law Moot Court Competition “Asia Cup 2019” has been held in Japan every year since 1999. In this competition, students compete in making oral arguments on moot problems of inter-State disputes as if they were agents of the Applicant and the Respondent before the International Court of Justice.
