State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU's Attendance at the Unitaid Executive Board Meeting

On December 10, State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano attended the Unitaid Executive Board meeting held in Tokyo and delivered remarks. The overview is as follows:
- State Minister Kunimitsu attended the Unitaid Executive Board meeting held in Tokyo and delivered a welcome remarks.
- State Minister Kunimitsu introduced that the Government of Japan has positioned global health as one of the pillars of its diplomacy and has actively promoted efforts to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) in order to realize "Human Security." She also stated that Japan has provided policy and operational support to Unitaid and has been engaged in projects involving Japanese industry partnerships.
- State Minister Kunimitsu further stated that Japan will continue its efforts toward the overarching goal of achieving UHC, while collaborating with various global health organizations.
- On the 9th, the day before this meeting, a Partners Forum co-organized by Unitaid, the Japan Health Policy Institute, and Nagasaki University was held for discussions with Japanese industry, government, academia, and civil society. Concrete examples of collaboration between Unitaid and Japanese industries were introduced.
