The 4th Japan-U.S. Development Policy Dialogue

The 4th Japan-U.S. Development Dialogue was held on October 28th on the occasion of the Japan-U.S.-ROK Development and Humanitarian Assistance Policy Dialogue. Mr. ENDO Kazuya, Director-General, International Cooperation Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Ms. Michele Sumilas, USAID Assistant to the Administrator, Bureau for Planning, Learning, and Resources attended this dialogue. The summary is as follows.
- The two countries discussed assistance in response to the situation in Ukraine and surrounding Israel and Palestine as well as development cooperation in various fields in the Indo-Pacific and beyond such as Pacific Island countries, South Asia and Africa.
- The two countries also exchanged views on development finance, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Refugee Forum (GRF), and G7 and concurred to continue working together.
