The overview is as follows (the session was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy).

  1. In this session, the G7 ministers engaged in a candid exchange of views on the situation in the Indo-Pacific and the challenges in the region that have a significant impact on the peace, stability and prosperity of the international community. As the security of Europe and Indo-Pacific has become more and more inseparable, the ministers reaffirmed that they will continue working together to achieve a free and open Indo-Pacific.
  2. The G7 ministers opposed any unilateral attempts to change the status quo by force or coercion in the Indo-Pacific region and shared their concerns over the advancement of North Korea's nuclear and missile activities.
