Meeting between Prime Minister TAKAICHI and the Group of Women Ambassadors in Japan

On January 15, commencing at 3:30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan, had a meeting with 24 female ambassadors, Ambassadors-Designate and chargées d'affaires ad interim stationed in Japan. The summary is as follows:
- At the outset, Prime Minister TAKAICHI expressed her respect for the activities of the Group of Women Ambassadors in Japan aimed at promoting women's participation and diversity, and stated that she would like to work hard and show results for the present and future of the world to sweep away biases such as "women are not suited to be leaders"
- Following this, on behalf of the Group, the Ambassador of Samoa to Japan, H.E. Mrs. Faalavaau Perina SILA-TUALAULELEI, the Ambassador of Mexico to Japan, H.E. Ms. Melba PRÍA, the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Japan, H.E. Mrs. Marieta ARABADJIEVA de Descalzi, and the Ambassador of Ghana to Japan, H.E. Mrs. Genevieve Edna APALOO made statements expressing congratulations on assuming the office of Prime Minister and expectations for the leadership of Prime Minister TAKAICHI and shared the importance of partnership with Japan in various fields.
- Finally, Prime Minister TAKAICHI expressed the desire to continue working together to address the various challenges facing the international community, and the meeting concluded in a friendly atmosphere.
