“Politics, Economics and People-to-People Exchange: Perspectives on the Future Development of Japan-Baltic Relations”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will invite leaders and influential individuals from the Baltic States to Japan and host the Japan-Baltic Seminar to promote mutual understanding and to further strengthen the friendly relations. The theme of this year's seminar, which is in its 9th year, is “Politics, Economics and People-to-People Exchange: Perspectives on the Future Development of Japan-Baltic Relations”. As outlined below, presentations from respective countries will explore the development of their relationships with Japan from (i) a political perspective, including relations with Europe (and EU) that the Baltic countries count on; (ii) an economic perspective, reviewing the Baltic trade and investment environment; and (iii) a people-to-people perspective.

Time and Date: 26 January 2017 (Thu.) 2:30~6:00 p.m. (15 minute presentation from each participant + Q&A session, short break)
