Japan-Netherlands Summit Meeting

On September 24, commencing at 9:10 a.m. (local time; 10:10 p.m., September 24, JST), for approximately 25 minutes, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Dick SCHOOF, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, while visiting New York, the United States, to attend the United Nations General Assembly. The overview is as follows.
- At the outset, Prime Minister ISHIBA stated that he was delighted to meet with Prime Minister Schoof again since the latter's visit to Japan in April this year, and expressed his expectation for further cooperation in a wide range of areas such as security, trade, and economic security. In response, Prime Minister Schoof expressed his desire to continue deepening cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
- The two leaders also confirmed their intention to continue to cooperate closely on urgent international issues, including the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as the situation in East Asia.
