Start of Call for Joint Film Productions Based on the Japan-Italy Film Co-Production Agreement

- Starting today, the 9th, applications are open for the international co-production certification system based on the “Agreement on Film Co-production between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Italian Republic” (hereinafter referred to as the “Japan-Italy Film Co-Production Agreement”).
- Co-production films approved under this agreement will be entitled to the full enjoyment of all the benefits which are or may be accorded to national films in each country respectively. This agreement is expected to enhance exchanges between film production entities of the two countries and expand film co-productions between the two countries. It is also anticipated to promote mutual understanding between the people of both countries through co-production films.
- To obtain approval under the Japan-Italy Film Co-Production Agreement, it is necessary to receive approval under the international co-production certification system implemented by UniJapan (the Japanese managing organization for joint film productions based on the Agreement). Please check the UniJapan website for the necessary documents for certification application.
