Negotiations on Japan-EU Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) Follow-up meeting of negotiations

- The follow-up meeting of negotiations on Japan-EU Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) was held in Brussels from December 7 to 8.
- The meeting was attended by, on the Japanese side, Ms. Maki Kobayashi, Director of the European Policy Division, European Affairs Bureau and other representatives, and on the EU side, Mr. Julian Wilson, Head of Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand Division, European External Action Service and other representatives.
- At the meeting, further progress was made in some areas of co-operation.
- The timing of the next round of negotiations is to be decided.
