Parliamentary Vice Minister Fukazawa and Ambassador Ismayilzada who exchange opinions after having a seat

On December 12, Mr. FUKAZAWA Yoichi, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Gursel ISMAYILZADA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. Parliamentary Vice Minister Fukazawa stated that Azerbaijan is an important country for Japan from the perspective of energy security and both countries has built the relationship as reliable partners. He welcomed the decision of COP 29 in 2024 to be held in Azerbaijan. He also welcomed the joint statement issued recently by the Governments of Azerbaijan and Armenia as a step for confidence-building measures towards a peace agreement.
  2. Ambassador Ismayilzada congratulated Parliamentary Vice Minister Fukazawa on his appointment and they discussed cooperation between the two countries in the transport and logistics sector and in the environment sector.
