Foreign Minister Kamikawa’s Visit to the Traveling Exhibition by Japan Foundation
“Manga Hokusai Manga: Approaching the Master’s Compendium from the Perspective of Contemporary Comics”

On July 19, commencing at 10:20 a.m. local time (5:20 p.m. JST), for approximately 10 minutes, Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, visited the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the traveling exhibition by Japan Foundation titled “Manga Hokusai Manga: Approaching the Master’s Compendium from the Perspective of Contemporary Comics” is being held, during her visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The exhibition is sets out to introduce the charms of the unique field of Japanese culture, by introducing some of the similarities and differences between modern Japanese manga, which now enjoy worldwide popularity, and Hokusai Manga, a collection of sketches by the ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849).
