1. Partners’ Programme organised by the Italian Government (first day)

As part of the Partners’ Programme of the G7 Puglia Summit, Mrs Kishida visited the Museo Archeologico Nazionale e Parco Archeologico di Egnazia and the Castello di Pettolecchia.
At the Archaeological Museum of Egnazia, built outside the 4th century B.C. defensive walls, Mrs. Kishida viewed an exhibition tracing the history of the Puglia region over some 30 centuries, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages, and was informed about Italy's role in the Mediterranean as a nexus with the Middle East and African regions.
At the Castello di Pettolecchia, surrounded by more than 6,100 olive groves, Mrs. Kishida was briefed about the fertile soil and agriculture of the Puglia region.

2. Welcome ceremony, cultural events and official dinner hosted by Italian President Mattarella

Together with Prime Minister Kishida, Mrs. Kishida attended the Welcome Ceremony, Cultural Event and Official Dinner hosted by the Italian President at the Castello Svevo di Brindisi, where they were welcomed by President Mattarella and his daughter Laura.
