APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and APEC Ministerial Meeting

- On October 30 (local time), President Sebastián Piñera, Chair of APEC Chile 2019， announced the cancellation of the APEC Economic Leaders’Meeting due to Chile’s domestic circumstances including security concerns.
- On December 7, the Concluding Senior Officials Meeting (CSOM) closing APEC 2019 was held in Singapore.
(Mr.Mathias Francke, Director for Multilateral Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, chaired the meeting, and officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry represented Japan.)
・The Leaders’ Meeting was originally scheduled on November 16-17.
・CSOM was originally scheduled immediately before the Leader’s meeting in November.
