A Courtesy Call on Prof. MATSUMOTO Yoichiro, Science and Technology Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, by participants of the German-Japanese Young Experts Exchange Program


On 27 November, Prof. MATSUMOTO Yoichiro, Science and Technology Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call by six young German experts who are visiting Japan under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' German-Japanese Young Experts Exchange Program.
Prof. Matsumoto welcomed participant’ visit to Japan under the program, and mentioned the importance of further enhancing exchange and cooperation between Germany and Japan, referring to his own research experience in Germany. He also lively exchanged views and opinions with the participants on trends of policy and technological development in hydrogen energy worldwide, including Japan and Germany, with a focus on this year's theme of the program, 'Green Hydrogen Technology'.
The German-Japanese Young Experts Exchange Program is an annual program in which by Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites young experts from Germany to visit Japanese research institutions and private companies with the aim of building cooperation and promoting mutual understanding between Japan and Germany. It is paired with the program of inviting Japanese researchers to Germany, implemented by the Japanese-German Center Berlin.
This year, six young German experts visited Japan under the theme of 'Green Hydrogen Technology'.
