  1. On August 25th and 26th, the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) held its 80th Governing Board Meeting in Tokyo. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement Continuing the International Science and Technology Center and the Secretariat's relocation to Kazakhstan. The meeting, attended by H.E. Mr. Sayasat NURBEK, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, focused on discussions aimed at strengthening ISTC's role in contributing to international peace, stability, and development through support for scientists.

  1. On August 27th, ISTC held its Special Day Events at World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Ms. IKUINA Akiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, represented the Government of Japan, and Ms. Karina ANGUELIEVA, Executive Director of the ISTC, participated in the official ceremony. The ceremony also included a special event recognizing research teams from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan working on ISTC-Japan peaceful scientific research projects, broadly showcasing ISTC's activities.
  1. At the Expo Special Day, ISTC hosted a panel discussion entitled "New Approach to Sustainability: Why International Collaboration in Science & Technology is Crucial for the Future of Our Planet." Vigorous discussions took place on the panel topics of "Strengthening Global Partnership for Security and Sustainability through Science and Technology" and "Nuclear Technology and Future Energy: Challenges and Perspectives for Peace and Prosperity."
