Foreign Nationals Residing in Japan

On 13 February, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) jointly held the event entitled “International Forum on Acceptance of Foreign Nationals and Their Integration into Japan”. The overview of the meeting is as follows. (Programme (PDF) )

At this forum, under the theme of “Domestic and International Partnership among Municipalities towards Realizing Integration and Inclusion of Foreign Nationals in the Society,“ following the opening remarks by Mr. MIYAJI Takuma, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Co-host’s speech by Ms. Ugochi Daniels, Deputy Director General of the IOM, lectures and presentations by domestic and overseas experts and a panel discussion moderated by Mr. YAMAWAKI Keizo, Professor of Meiji University, were held along with lively discussions among the participants.
