- The 13th round of negotiations for the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) will be held in Canberra, Australia from Tuesday, December 20 to Wednesday, December 21.
- The participants in the meeting will be: on the Japanese side, Mr. Shinichi Nishimiya, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and other officials from relevant Japanese ministries; and on the Australian side, Mr. Bruce Gosper, Deputy Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and other officials from relevant departments of Australia.
- Among the issues that will be discussed in the meeting are trade in goods, rules of origin, customs procedures, and improvement of business environment.
