Visit to Japan by Dr. Michel Kazatchkine, Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

  1. Dr. Michel Kazatchkine, Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, will visit Japan from February 25 (Thu) to 27 (Sat).

  2. During his visit, Dr. Kazatchkine will exchange views with Japanese government officials, Diet members, JICA,  and other stakeholders regarding the leading role of the Global Fund to fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, as well as it’s partnership with Japan. On February 26 (Fri), he is scheduled to give a lecture at a public seminar.

  3. Through the Global Fund, Japan has been contributing to the fight against the three major infectious diseases. It is expected that,  Dr. Kazatchkine’s visit will enhance further cooperation  between Japan and the Global Fund.
