Third Japan-India Strategic Dialogue on Economic Issues

- On November 16 (Mon), the Third Japan-India Strategic Dialogue on Economic
Issues will be held in Delhi, India.
- This dialogue will be attended by Mr. Yoichi Otabe, Deputy Minister
for Foreign Affairs, as the Chief Delegate of the Japanese side, and Mr.
Ashok Chawla, Finance Secretary of India, as the Chief Delegate of the Indian
side. Also participating on the Japanese side will be officials from the
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports,
Science and Technology, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and
on the Indian side by officials from economic ministries concerned.
- The participants will discuss wide-ranging topics focusing on policies which strengthen Japan-India economic relationship including Japan-India Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), ODA, Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) Project, Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) Project, cooperation on the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH), Science & Technology, Information and Communications Technology, and climate change.
