- The 10th round of negotiations for the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership
Agreement (EPA) will be held in Tokyo from November 17 (Tue) to 25 (Wed).
- The participants in the meeting will be: on the Japanese side, Mr. Masato
Takaoka, Deputy Director General, Economic Affairs Bureau and other Deputy
Director-General level co-chairs from Japan as well as other officials from
relevant Japanese ministries; and on the Australian side, Ms. Jan Adams, First
Assistant Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Head of the FTA
Task Force) and other officials from relevant departments of Australia.
- Among the issues that will be discussed in the meeting are trade in goods and services, intellectual property, investment, government procurement, energy, and mineral resources.
