- Working-level consultations to consider and to create a favorable
environment for the resumption of the Japan-ROK Economic Partnership Agreement
negotiations will be held in Tokyo (Public Meeting Room of the Central Government
Building No.7) on June 25 (Wed).
- This meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Takeshi Akahori,
Director of the Japan-Korea Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, and officials from ministries concerned, and on the ROK side by
Ms. Lee Mi-young, Director of FTA Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Trade, and officials from ministries concerned.
- This meeting is a follow-up of the Japan-ROK summit meeting which was held last April. Both sides will discuss the merits and principles of Japan-ROK EPA, how to create a favorable environment for resumption of negotiations, and how to actually resume negotiations.
