Working-level Consultations to Consider and to Create a Favorable Environment for the Resumption of the Japan-ROK Economic Partnership Agreement Negotiations

  1. Working-level consultations to consider  and to create a favorable environment for the resumption of the Japan-ROK Economic Partnership Agreement negotiations will be held in Tokyo (Public Meeting Room of the Central Government Building No.7) on June 25 (Wed).
     
  2. This meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Takeshi Akahori, Director of the Japan-Korea Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and officials from ministries concerned, and on the ROK side by Ms. Lee Mi-young, Director of FTA Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and officials from ministries concerned.
     
  3. This meeting is a follow-up of the Japan-ROK summit meeting which was held last April.  Both sides will discuss the merits and principles of Japan-ROK EPA, how to create a favorable environment for resumption of negotiations, and how to actually resume negotiations.
