Dr. David Nabarro, UN System Senior Coordinator for Avian and Human Influenza, to Visit Japan

Dr. David Nabarro, UN System Senior Coordinator for Avian and Human Influenza, will visit Japan from November 8 (Thu) to 10 (Sat).
During his stay, Dr. Nabarro will have talks with Mr. Itsunori Onodera, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, and also exchange views with officials from the ministries and agencies concerned, including the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Dr. Nabarro will exchange views on the efforts to fight against avian and pandemic influenza made by the international community and the assistance by the Government of Japan.
