- Japan is deeply shocked and outraged by the many deaths and injuries caused by the suicide bomb attack on Friday, February 1, in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, at the gate of the Embassy of the United States. Japan firmly condemns terrorism as unjustifiable, committed for whatever purpose. Japan mourns the victims and expresses its condolences to the bereaved families. Japan also offers its sympathy to those wounded in the attacks.
- Japan will continue to cooperate with the international community, including Turkey and the United States, in order to eradicate terrorist attacks, which sacrifice the lives of innocent people.
