Exchange of Diplomatic Notes for the Entry into Force of the Protocol between Japan and the United Mexican States related to Improvement of Market Access Conditions based on paragraphs 3 and 5 of Article 5 of the Agreement between Japan and the United Mexican States for the Strengthening of the Economic Partnership

  1. An exchange of diplomatic notes for the entry into force of the Protocol between Japan and the United Mexican States related to Improvement of Market Access Conditions based on paragraphs 3 and 5 of Article 5 of the Agreement between Japan and the United Mexican States for the Strengthening of the Economic Partnership (the Protocol) took place in Mexico City on Saturday, March 3 (Friday, March 2, local time), between Japanese Ambassador to Mexico, Yubun Narita and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano. With this exchange of diplomatic notes, the Protocol will enter into force on April 1, 2007.
  2. The Protocol stipulates the in-quota rate of customs duties and other matters in respect of chicken, beef and oranges, items designated for consultation under the Agreement between Japan and the United Mexican States for the Strengthening of the Economic Partnership.
