Foreign Minister MOTEGI’s Roundtable with Japanese residents in Angola

On May 1, commencing at 5:00 p.m. local time (1:00 a.m. on Mat 2, Japan time) for 50 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who is visiting Angola, held a roundtable with Japanese residents, including representatives of Japanese companies operating locally and international organizations.
- At the outset, Minister MOTEGI expressed his gratitude for the significant role played by Japanese companies expanding into Angola and Japanese nationals active in international organizations in the development of Japan-Angola relations, and also paid tribute to the Japanese residents who are actively working in Angola every day.
- From participants, they explained about the current situation, challenges, and prospects of business and development cooperation in Angola. In response, Minister MOTEGI stated that the Japanese government intends to support the activities of Japanese companies and Japanese staff of international organizations, and the meeting concluded in a friendly atmosphere.
