Meeting between Mrs. KISHIDA Yuko, Spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Amanda LUXON, Spouse of the Prime Minister of New Zealand

On June 19, commencing at 4:00 p.m. for approximately 90 minutes, Mrs. KISHIDA Yuko, Spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, had a meeting with Mrs. Amanda LUXON, Spouse of the Prime Minister of New Zealand, who is visiting Japan.
- Mrs. Kishida welcomed the visit of Mrs. Amanda Luxon to Japan and expressed her hope that the Prime Minister and Mrs. Amanda Luxon's visit would be an opportunity to further deepen the friendly relations between the two countries. Mrs. Amanda Luxon expressed her desire, after the visit to Japan, to cooperate to further develop the friendly relations between the two countries.
- They experienced Ikebana, Japanese traditional flower arrangement together, with the guidance of instructors from the Ikebana International Tokyo Founding Chapter, after receiving a briefing on the history and cultural background of Ikebana. Mrs. Amanda Luxon enjoyed hands-on experience and stated that she could deepen her understanding of Japan by experiencing the Japanese people's relationship with nature through Ikebana. Mrs. Kishida expected that “Mrs. Amanda Luxon would feel Japanese culture, using flowers in New Zealand.”
- They also exchanged views on people to people exchanges between the two countries, culture, women's empowerment and nature.
