On July 28, commencing after 5 p.m. for approximately 40 minutes, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Togmid DORJKHAND, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, who is visiting Japan as an official guest of the Government of Japan for participation in the National Day Event of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The summary of the meeting is as follows.

  1. Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi welcomed Deputy Prime Minister Dorjkhand’s visit to Japan and stated that he was honored to meet with Deputy Prime Minister Dorjkhand, who studied at a university in Japan and has deep understanding of Japan. In response, Deputy Prime Minister Dorjkhand expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown by the Japanese side and stated that the Mongolia National Day Event of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, held on the previous day (July 27) was a great success and was well received by many Japanese people.
  2. Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi also expressed his pleasure at the fact that the recent visit of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress to Mongolia from July 6 to 13 achieved remarkable results, further advancing friendly relations between the two countries. In response, Deputy Prime Minister Dorjkhand expressed his sincere appreciation for Their Majesties’ first visit and attendance at Naadam, a national festival.
  3. In addition, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi expressed his support for Mongolia’s determination to uphold democracy, as well as intention to continue cooperation towards Mongolia’s autonomous development as a third neighbor country. Both sides exchanged views on the possibility of Japan-Mongolia cooperation to further Mongolia’s development.
