1. Opening Remarks - Exchange of Diplomatic Notes concerning the Entry into Force of the Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Peru for an Economic Partnership
Minister Gemba: Today, on January 24, or January 23 local time, the exchange of diplomatic notes concerning the Entry into Force of the Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Peru for an Economic Partnership took place in Lima. With this exchange of notes, the Agreement will enter into force on March 1 this year.
It is expected that the entry into force of the Agreement will further invigorate both countries’ economies and strengthen not only the economic relationship between the two countries, but also the bilateral relations as a whole.
