Japan-Pakistan Relations

1. Please submit a logo to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan.
2. Citizens of either Japan and Pakistani are welcomed to submit, regardless of age and place of current residence.
3. Submissions must be received by Wednesday, October 23th, 2026.
4. Please submit a logo by email to Southwest Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (japanpakistan75@mofa.go.jp).
5. The persons concerned will evaluate the designs and identify a winner to be used as the official logo for the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Pakistan.
6. Results will be announced on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs around late December 2026 (Subject to change).

Please attach your logo design to an email entitled “Logo Entry” addressed to Southwest Asia Division, Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (japanpakistan75@mofa.go.jp). Make sure to include your name and affiliation in the body of the email and attach a brief explanation of your logo design. Submissions by post will not be accepted.

1. Proposals must be submitted in digital format, meeting the following requirements:
   1. Format: JPEG, PDF, or EPS file
   2. Size: up to 3 MB
   3. Resolution: 300 DPI or higher
   4. Approximate Size: For Vertical layout (Portrait): 160px x 160px
      For Horizontal layout (Landscape): 250px x 150px
   (NOTE) We may request formatting changes if necessary.
2. Please attach an explanation of the logo design as a separate file to the email. (Do not include the explanation in the email body.) The explanation should be around 80 words long. The explanation will be made public along with the announcement of the selected logo.
3. Please submit both color and black-and-white versions of your design (no restrictions on number of colors, gradations, etc.).
4. Submitted logo designs or materials will not be returned.

1. Submitted logo designs must be unpublished anywhere previously, and must not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of any third parties.
2. Using generative AI (artificial intelligence) in submitted logo designs is NOT permitted as they may lead to copyright infringement issues.
3. Submissions that contain any of the following will be disqualified:
   1. content that is offensive;
   2. content that violates or might violate laws;
   3. content promoting political or religious groups or positions;
   4. content that is culturally or socially insensitive;
   5. content that does not fit the purpose of promoting friendly relations between Japan and Pakistan;
   6. content for commercial purposes.
4. The selected design will be subject to any edits, alterations or processing necessary for use. In the event the logo is found to be unsatisfactory after the selection process, or if agreement cannot be reached as to revisions to the logo, the selected design will be withdrawn from use.
5. All rights relating to submitted designs and the copyright to the winning logo design will belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Those who are submitting designs agree to relinquish all rights and interests regarding the designs. In principle, submitted designs will not be altered other than to adjust size, convert to black-and-white, or to translate into Japanese or English.
6. The selected logo design may be withdrawn from use if any information submitted with the design is later found to be false.
7. The selected logo design in its final form will be distributed to those authorized by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Pakistan and will be used in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan.
8. Personal information (other than name and affiliation) of the applicants submitting logo designs will not be disclosed or offered to third parties except where it is permitted under laws or the designer’s consent was given.
9. Acknowledgments of receiving the submission or rejection notices will not be sent. Inquiries regarding the selection process will not be attended.
10. The designer of the selected design will not receive any prize, award, prize money or any other form of compensation. The name and affiliation of the designer will be announced along with the selected logo design with the designer’s consent.
