The 3rd Meeting of the Japan-Pakistan Counter-Terrorism Consultaions

- The Japan-Pakistan Counter-Terrorism Consultations held its 3rd meeting in Islamabad, Pakistan on December 19, 2017.
- H.E. Mr. Eiji Yamamoto, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H.E. Ms. Tasnim Aslam, Special Secretary (UN&EC/SCO/Administration), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan represented respective sides. Officials from counter-terrorism related ministries and agencies also attended the meeting.
- In this meeting, Japan and Pakistan exchanged views on issues such as the current regional terrorism situation, counter-terrorism measures in both countries and international cooperation on counter-terrorism and violent extremism.
