Japan-India Relations

1. Please submit a logo to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and India.
2. Eligibility: Citizens of India and Citizens of Japan may apply regardless of age and place of current residence. OCI/PIO card holders currently resident in Japan may also apply.
3. Deadline: Submissions must be received by Tuesday, September 15th, 2026.
4. Submission Address: Please submit your logo by email to Southwest Asia Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (japanindia75@mofa.go.jp).
5. Selection Process: The persons concerned will evaluate the designs and identify a winner to be used as the official logo for the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India.
6. Announcement of Results: Results are scheduled to be announced simultaneously by the Japanese and Indian parties in early December (Subject to change).

Please attach your logo design to an email entitled “Logo Entry” and addressed to Southwest Asia Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (japanindia75@mofa.go.jp). Be sure to include your name and affiliation in the body of the email, and please attach a brief explanation of your logo design. We cannot accept submissions by post.

1. Proposals must be submitted in digital format, meeting the following requirements:
   1. Format: JPEG, PDF, or EPS file
   2. Size: up to 3 MB
   3. Resolution: 300 DPI or higher
   4. Approximate Size: For Vertical layout (Portrait): 160px x 160px
      For Horizontal layout (Landscape): 250px x 150px
   (NOTE) We may request formatting changes if necessary.
2. The explanation of your logo design should be approximately 80 words long. Please do not include the explanation in the email body but attach it as a separate file. When the selected logo is announced, the explanation will be made public.
3. Please submit both color and black-and-white versions of your design (no restrictions on number of colors, gradations, etc.).
4. Only one submission will be accepted per person.
5. No submitted logo designs or materials will be returned.

1. Submitted logo designs must be new, not previously published anywhere, and must not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, etc., of any third parties.
2. Submissions designed using generative AI (artificial intelligence) are NOT permitted as they may lead to copyright infringement issues.
3. Submissions that contain any of the following will be disqualified:
   1. content that is offensive,
   2. content that violates or might violate laws,
   3. content that is culturally or socially insensitive,
   4. content that is for commercial purposes.
4. The winning logo design will be subject to any edits, alterations or processing necessary for use. In the event the logo is found to be unsatisfactory after the selection process, or if agreement cannot be reached as to revisions to the logo, the selected design will be withdrawn from use.
5. All rights to submitted designs and the copyright to the winning logo design will belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Ministry of External Affairs of India. Those who are submitting designs agree to relinquish all rights and interests regarding the designs. In principle, submitted designs will not be altered other than to adjust size, convert to black-and-white, or to translate into Japanese or English.
6. The winning logo design may be withdrawn from use if any information submitted with the design is later determined to be false.
7. The winning logo design in its final form will be distributed to parties authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Ministry of External Affairs of India and will be used in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and India.
8. Personal information (other than name and affiliation) of those submitting logo designs will not be disclosed or offered to third parties without the designer’s permission.
9. We will not send out acknowledgments about receiving the submission or rejection notices. Please note that we are unable to respond to inquiries regarding the selection process.
10. Please note in advance that the designer of the winning design will not receive any prize, monetary award, or other form of compensation. The name and affiliation of the designer will be announced together with the winning logo design, with the designer’s consent.
