On April 24, commencing at 8:55 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, held a summit telephone talk with H.E. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. The overview of the talk is as follows.

  1. At the outset, Prime Minister ISHIBA extended his sincere condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack in Kashmir. Prime Minister ISHIBA also stated that terrorism cannot be justified for any reason and Japan strongly condemns all forms of terrorism. Prime Minister ISHIBA also stated that Japan is firmly committed to combatting terrorism in cooperation with India and the international community.
  2. Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude for the word of condolences and solidarity shown by Prime Minister ISHIBA and stated that he would like to cooperate with Japan in the fight against terrorism.
