Video Message by Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan for the 3rd India-Japan Forum

On December 6, the 3rd India-Japan Forum was held in Delhi, India.
- Foreign Minister IWAYA issued a video message, and H.E. Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, and other officials from both Japan and India attended the 3rd India-Japan Forum held in Delhi, India.
- In his message, Minister Iwaya said that Japan and India are partners sharing common fundamental values, such as the rule of law and democracy, as well as strategic interests, and have a great responsibility for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, and mentioned that the two Ministers confirmed cooperation toward the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)”during the Japan-India Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held at the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Italy. Minister Iwaya stated that bilateral cooperation is also seeing progerss and he would like to expand efforts in people-to-people exchanges as a medium- to long-term pillar of bilateral relations, in addition to cooperation in the security and economic fields.
