Japan-India Relations

On August 1, regarding the landslides that occurred in India’s southern state of Kerala, Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, issued the following message of condolences to H.E. Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of so many precious lives in the landslides in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the victims and express my sincere sympathies to the bereaved families. I also extend my sympathy to those affected by the disaster and wish for the earliest possible search and rescue of those still missing.”
