Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs SHIMADA by H.E. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami

On March 26, Ms. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the reception to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh hosted by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Japan. The overview is as follows:
- Parliamentary Vice-Minister SHIMADA welcomed Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s visit to Japan and stated that Japan has consistently assisted the nation-building efforts of Bangladesh as a close friend and will continue to further develop the bilateral relations under the “Strategic Partnership”.
- In response, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman mentioned that Japan is an important partner for Bangladesh and expressed his appreciation to the Government and people of Japan for its support to Bangladesh over many years.
