Result of the 18th Japan-Singapore Vice-Ministerial Policy Dialogue

On June 26, Mr. NAMAZU Hioryuki, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, held the 18th Japan-Singapore Vice-Ministerial Policy Dialogue, with Mr. Albert CHUA, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore during his visit to Singapore.
- The two sides welcomed the progress of concrete cooperation being made primarily on the five priority areas identified in the “Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership”announced by the Prime Ministers during Prime Minister Wong’s visit to Japan in March of this year, and concurred on further strengthening bilateral relations.
- The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the situation in the Indo-Pacific and the Middle East, and concurred that both countries would continue to work closely in the international arena.
