Japan-Singapore Relations

1. On 26 April 2026 (Sunday), Japan and Singapore marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two nations.
2. To commemorate this occasion, Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan exchanged congratulatory messages with H.E. Mr Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Singapore.
3. In her message, touching upon the upgrade of the Japan-Singapore relationship to a “Strategic Partnership” during Prime Minister Wong’s visit to Japan this March, Prime Minister TAKAICHI expresses her hope that this milestone year will bring about even greater advancements in our bilateral relations.
