Japan-Viet Nam Relations

The Emperor, the Crown Prince Akihito, co-authored the entry on gobies in the Fishes of the Japanese Archipelago, the first illustrated book of all the fishes in Japanese waters, published by Tokai University Press in 1984. Myersina nigrivirgata (marked with an asterisk above) was described as a new species of goby by the Emperor, then Crown Prince Akihito, in 1983.
