Exchange of views between State Minister KUNIMITSU and H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Rozian, Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Japan

On September 2, commencing at 5:20 p.m., for approximately 20 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Dato’ Ahmad ROZIAN, Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Japan.

  1. 1. At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU welcomed Ambassador-Designate Rozian upon his assumption of office in Japan and stated that she would like to continue to follow-up the outcome of the summit meeting during the visit of Prime Minister Anwar in June and enhance the bilateral relations by strengthening cooperation in the fields of security, economy, people-to-people exchanges and others under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership .
  2. In response, Ambassador-Designate Rozian stated his intension to continue working actively to strengthen bilateral relations.
  3. Both sides confirmed their commitment to working together towards the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic relations between Japan and Malaysia in 2027.
