Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI by a delegation of the Indonesian Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation

On July 2, commencing at 2:00 p.m., for about 35 minutes, Mr. MIYAJI Takuma, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan received a courtesy call by a delegation of Indonesian Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation led by Hon. Dr. Mardani Ali Sera, Chairperson of the committee. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, Mr. MIYAJI, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, stated that Japan hopes to further strengthen the bilateral relationship with Indonesia, a long-time close friend and comprehensive and strategic partner that shares fundamental values and principles, referring to Prime Minister ISHIBA's visit to Indonesia in January of this year.
- State Minister MIYAJI also expressed his desire to continue to work together to lead the world towards cooperation through realizing Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP) and the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP).
- The two sides agreed to further advance bilateral cooperation, including in the field of maritime security, and to cooperate on various regional and international issues.
