Meeting between Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA and H.E. Dr (H.C.) Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia

On May 2, commencing at 10:55.a.m. local time (5:55 p.m. Japan Time), for approximately 10 minutes, Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko, who is attending the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM), held a meeting with H.E. Dr (H.C.) Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, Minister Kamikawa sincerely welcomed the adoption of the OECD’s accession roadmap for Indonesia. Minister Kamikawa expressed her expectaion for steady progress in the accession process and that Japan will continue to contribute to the discussions at the OECD for the progress in the process.
- Minister Airlangga expressed his enthusiasm for the progress of Indonesia's accession process to the OECD and stated his appreciation for Japan’s strong support to date.
- On bilateral relations, both sides agreed to continue to cooperate in a wide range of economic affairs, including the early signing of the Protocol Amending Japan-Indonesia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
