On March 10, Ms. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the Iftar Reception to Commemorate the 42nd Anniversary of Brunei Darussalam’s National Day hosted by the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Japan. The overview is as follows:

  1. State Minister KUNIMITSU delivered her remarks following the opening remarks by H.E. Mr. WAN HADFI Lutfan Bin Haji Abdul Latif, Ambassador-Designate of Brunei Darussalam to Japan.
  2. In her remarks, State Minister KUNIMITSU stated that Japan and Brunei have built a strong relationship across a wide range of fields, grounded in many years of exchanges between the Imperial Family and the Brunei Royal Family as well as cooperation in the energy sector. State Minister KUMINITSU also expressed her desire to further develop the "Strategic Partnership" between the two countries.
