Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Viet Nam and Mdm. Ngo Phuong Ly

H.E. Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and his spouse, Mdm. Ngo Phuong Ly will pay an Official Visit to Japan from November 8 to November 11, 2026.
- During their stay in Japan, General Secretary and President and Mdm. Ly will make a State Call on Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan, and Their Majesties will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the General Secretary and President and his spouse. Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan, will also hold a meeting with the General Secretary and President.
- General Secretary and President Lam’s visit will be a very meaningful opportunity for the two countries to further strengthen cooperation in areas including security, as well as economic and economic security matters, under the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World”. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of General Secretary and President Lam and Mdm. Ly.
