Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano by H.E. Mr. Nguyen Manh Khuong, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

On December 24, commencing at 4:50 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Nguyen Manh Khuong, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, who is visiting Japan for the negotiation of a social security agreement. The overview is as follows:
- At the outset, State Minister Kunimitsu expressed sympathy for the successive typhoons and heavy rain damage in Viet Nam. She also stated her desire to cooperate toward the early conclusion of a social security agreement as a foundation to facilitate active people-to-people and economic exchanges between two countries.
- In response, Deputy Minister H.E. Mr. Khuong expressed gratitude, welcomed the active people-to-people exchanges between two countries, and stated his intention to continue to make every effort to negotiate on a social security agreement.
- Both sides confirmed their commitment to continue working together to deepen cooperation between the two countries under the Japan-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
