Exchange of views between Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary SATO and H.E. Mr. Witchu, Ambassador Thailand to Japan

On July 21, from 4:20 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary SATO Kei received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan. The overview of the courtesy call is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary SATO expressed his condolences regarding the recent fire incident in Bangkok. He also stated his desire to further deepen cooperation with Thailand as “Comprehensive Strategic Partner” towards the 140th anniversary of Japan-Thailand diplomatic relations next year.
  2. In response, Ambassador Witchu stated that he would continue to strive to strengthen various areas of cooperation including in the field of security and smooth interactions between two peoples.
