On May 3rd (Saturday) and 4th (Sunday), the "Cambodia Festival 2025," organized by the Cambodia Festival 2025 Executive Committee and co-hosted by the Embassy of Cambodia in Tokyo and other entities, was held at the Yoyogi Park Event Plaza. State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI Takuma attended the opening ceremony on the 3rd as a representative of the Japanese government, and the summary of the event is as follows.

At the opening ceremony, addresses were delivered by State Minister Miyaji, H.E. Tuy Ry, Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan, Mr. Imamura Masahiro, Former Chairman of Japan-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship League and H. E. Mr. Hul Seila, Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Tourism, who had traveled from Cambodia to attend this event.

In his address, State Minister Miyaji stated that Japan has been cooperating with Cambodia in its peace, reconstruction, and development efforts. Furthermore, he noted that in recent years, cooperation between the two countries has expanded under a "comprehensive strategic partnership" to encompass a wide range of fields, including security, digital, and cyber domains. He also expressed that the relationship between nations is supported by people-to-people exchanges and hoped that this event would further strengthen the bonds between the citizens of both countries and deepen Japan-Cambodia relations.

The main stage of the festival featured traditional Cambodian dances and live music performances, while the venue was adorned with booths displaying and selling Cambodian goods, traditional crafts, and cuisine, attracting many visitors and creating a lively atmosphere.
