Meeting between Chief Cabinet Secretary HAYASHI Yoshimasa and H.E. Mr. Vongsey Vissoth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia

On February 4, commencing at 5:40 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Chief Cabinet Secretary, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Vongsey Vissoth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who is visiting Japan upon the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. An overview of the meeting is as follows.
- Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi welcomed Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Vissoth’s visit to Japan and expressed his pleasure to see the progress of the bilateral relations in recent years. In response, Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Vissoth expressed his appreciation for the support by the Japanese government and people for the peace, reconstruction, and development of Cambodia.
- The two sides also exchanged views on the bilateral relationship and welcomed the expansion of their “comprehensive strategic partnership” into various areas of cooperation, including economic, security and digital, and demining assistance in third countries, and agreed to work further together in bilateral and regional /international arena.
